This class focuses on strengthening students' drawing skills and enhancing their artistic styles and creativity through colored pencil. All art styles and skill levels are welcome. Have you ever wanted to try drawing and/or painting or do you have experience but would like to take your artwork to the next level? Meet with Cate Robbins for individualized art instruction in small group studio settings. Cate has a Master's Degree in Painting from Texas Woman's University. This is a general study in painting and drawing that includes composition and techniques in a variety of mediums. Instruction is based upon each student's age, skill level, and goals. 
Classes are designed to introduce new students to the skills required to accurately render what they see and for the more advanced artist to gain some visual and creative practice in drawing and painting that will enhance any artistic endeavors. The class objective is to provide the "tools" necessary to draw and paint with confidence and to develop within the student the ability to see the world the way artists' see. From there, assignments lead the student to express their own individual creativity.
Supply needs for the class will vary according to the individual students' curriculum needs. Adults will provide their own supplies as needed for working in class and at home. Tuition for the full month is due at the first class of each month. Arrangements for missed classes are easily made up but are the student's responsibility to schedule.

Mixed Media: A visual art form that combines a variety of media in a single artwork. 
“I love mixed media! It is my current obsession and I can’t wait to share it with you.” In this class we will cover a variety of mediums, materials, and techniques as we create beautiful, whimsical and, sometimes emotional, works of art. Explore sketching, drawing, painting, backgrounds, blending, layering, collage, stencils, stamping, image transfer, found object art, assemblage, mono and gelatin printing and more, in a relaxed self-paced environment.
 
Classes require $50 registration deposit and first month fees is due at the registration. Registration deposits will be applied to last month of each semester if student doesn't wish to continue to next semester. However, continuing students may roll their deposit into the next semester. Mon After-School Pottery Wheel & Clay. Ages 5-18 (Brittney/Sara)

This is the class for the Artist that wants to learn how to throw on the wheel. Basic hand building skills will be developed, as each child gets one-on-one attention from Ms. Brittney. All pieces will be fired and glazed.

Mon-Tues Pottery Wheel & Clay. Ages 16-Adult (Tim)

Semester continues September-May

This class is for children's 10+. It focuses on strengthening students drawing and painting skills as well as enhancing their artistic styles and creativity through variety of art media like acrylics, watercolors, oil and chalk pastels, color pencils. All art skill levels are welcome - no experience necessary. The student will complete several fun projects throughout the semester that will develop and improve his or her drawing and painting skills. Classes are small only 8 students to give each student individual attention.
 
**Students will need to bring some supplies, but others will be provided by the teacher.
The supplies needed to be purchased by students: oil pastels, chalk pastels, watercolors, colored pencils.

Learn to shoot amazing photos on your smart phone! We will cover the basics of photography and use apps and tools to edit and enhance your images to create fun and interesting works of art. You will master the perfect selfie, compose a classic portrait and catch the action in street photography. But that is just the beginning. We will use your images in fun and innovative projects.

Thursday Pottery Class - Wheel Throwing and Hand Building.

Tuition: $78* per month for weekly 2-hour class plus the cost of clay (approximately $10 for 25 lbs).

Students will learn to make cups, bowls, and any other forms they can dream up, using various methods including throwing on the wheel and hand building with coils or slabs. Basic skills will be emphasized for beginners and as students progress they can choose their own projects while continuing to build their skills. Come ready to get muddy! Class size is limited to 6 students.

Wednesday Night Pottery Wheel & Handbuilding Class: 13- Adult (Stephanie)
