Sculpture and Mosaic creations Camp with Catalina Pinon

When: June 29th-July 2nd or July 27th-30th 9.00am -4.00pm

Your hands are your magic tools! During this camp we will sculpt adventures and dreams by learning all basics of ceramic and mosaics. Kids will learn the various ways of creating functional and sculptural pottery objects with different handbuilding techniques including slabs and coils.
Tuition per month*: $78 (2 Hour)/ $98 (3 Hour) per month plus clay
Do something you have always wanted to do-learn how to throw on the pottery wheel to make your own bowls, plates and cups! Hand build boxes, sculpt animals and hang out with other potters every Monday evening. You'll love it! Families welcome!
Register below paying first month dues and $50 Deposit**( applied to last 2 weeks of classes).
*Tuition includes a monthly supply fee of $10 which the McKinney Art House will use to purchase ceramic supplies such as Glaze for pottery classes.
**A deposit of $50 goes towards the last 2 classes of your tuition. If you decide to stop the class at any time, you must notifiy no later than two weeks in advance else you will lose the deposit. We have a waiting list, in most cases, and/or turn people away because of limited space. Knowing you will discontinue 2 weeks in advance helps get your spot filled.

Color explosion -This class is all about color, imagination and innovation
4 types of shades and dimension.
Mosaic relief linoleum and imprint.
Explore Mosaic mosaic materials and techniques collage.
We will explore the visual arts world through diverse techniques and theories. This course is designed to encourage the children to use their creative problem-solving and thinking skills while using their imagination as a tool.

MixedMedia: A visual art form that combines a variety of media in a single artwork.
“I love mixedmedia! It is my current obsession and I can’t wait to share it with you.” In this class we will cover a variety of mediums, materials, and techniques as we create beautiful, whimsical and, sometimes emotional, works of art. Explore sketching, drawing, painting, backgrounds, blending, layering, collage, stencils, stamping, image transfer, found object art, assemblage, mono and gelatin printing and more, in a relaxed self-paced environment.

Beginner Level students will learn the basic techniques of colored pencil art including initial sketching, layering, blending and building colors, and interpreting colors from a reference photo to express your inner artistic voice. Intermediate/Advanced Level students will hone these skills and learn the art of creating texture and details.
