Classes need to be scheduled minimum for 2hrs. Due to the nature of the pottery process, one to two private lessons include a finishing fee so the instructor can complete your projects (trim and/or glaze). A minimum of 3 lessons are required for ongoing private lessons, where the student will have time to complete all projects him/herself.
Tools, equipment and glazes are provided. Clay is dependent on each student’s use and thus not included in price, you can purchase clay from the instructor.

This class is for ages adults and serious teens. It focuses on strengthening students on acrylic or oil painting skills. All art skill levels are welcome - no experience necessary. The class is an open studio where students work on a project that interests them. This class significantly develops and improves students painting skills. Classes are small only eight students to give each person individual attention.
**Students will need to bring some supplies, but others will be provided by the teacher.

Class Description:
Do something you have always wanted to do - learn how to throw on the pottery wheel to make your own bowls, plates and cups! You can also hand build boxes, pinch flower pots, sculpt animals or your favorite anime or video-game character. Basic skills will be emphasized for beginners, and as students progress they can choose their own projects while continuing to build their skills. This is an ongoing class.
Register below paying first month’s tuition plus a $50.00 Deposit** (applied to last two weeks of class).

*Tuition includes a monthly supply and studio fee of $16 which the McKinney Art House will use to purchase ceramic supplies such as Glaze for pottery classes and for studio firing fee and dedicated shelf space.
