Catalina Pinon

Catalina is a visual artist dedicated to education. She spends most of her time with her family and students. After living in diverse countries and cultures she feels that McKinney is her home.

Her passion is to inspire students to pursue their creative expression using art as their medium. In her class, students explore the many forms of fine arts so they can discover the one that fits the best. They will explore the basics of drawing, sketching and painting all the way to abstract, sculpting and more. If they already have a favorite technique they will focus and grow with it.

Catalina devoted her post-graduate work to Visual Arts and holds a Master of Art degree.  Her professional career includes the planning and production of international exhibitions, galleries, and a unique multi-national art center.  She has traveled, worked, and studied on four continents and speaks Spanish as well. Her passion, after more than thirty years of artistic endeavor however, resides in the inspiration of students to pursue their creative expression with art as their medium.

Her multi-age classes and enrichment camps are dynamic explorations of a broad array of art forms.  Her sensitive approach both challenge and encourage her students to fearlessly experiment with media.  As an active educator in the McKinney/Prosper, Texas school districts, she holds the Art EC-12, Core Subjects EC-6, and Spanish EC-12 certifications.
