Description:   New to clay? Try this  2-hour introductory class in wheelthrown pottery. No experience required! This one-off class covers the basics of creating ceramic forms on the potter's wheel. Our one-time classes let you explore the artistic fun of creating pottery through spinning on the wheel.  This class includes Introduction, instruction, wheel throwing, and clean up at the end.  Each of you will be making two clay vessels. We walk you through the steps as you create 2 pieces .

 In this fun experience class, we will not be firing the work as it is mainly targeted to have fun pottery experience on the wheel.  This also helps keep these classes affordable. The vessels created can be taken home  or left at the studio which may be used for Empty bowl donation or repurposed for as such. 

For making functional pottery, you would need to fire the clay vessel through process known as Bisque firing and Glaze firing. If you would like to have your pieces fired, glazed and to have a finished unique pottery  you have created ( done by the teachign artists), try our "Come Clay with Me" on Saturdays.

Do I bring anything :  Just your funself....All the tools and equipment along with your clay will be provided: We have aprons but clay is messy so please wear comfortable clothes if  you don't mind getting dirty and extra towel  wouldn't hurt.
