🔹 What age groups are the camps designed for?

Our long-standing tradition ensures that each camp is thoughtfully designed to foster creativity, skill-building, and artistic exploration in a supportive environment.

🔹 Who Teaches Art Camps at McKinney Art House?

Our art camps are taught independently  by professional, local artists who are part of our vibrant art collective. Our Art camp educators are highly experienced, with many having received national and international recognition for their work with several decades of experience across a variety of art forms. 🔹 What camp options do you have and do you offer full-day and half-day camp options?

Yes! We offer both half-day and full-day camps. Some camps also allow you to mix and match different sessions for a full-day experience. Details, including camp timings, can be found in the camp descriptions

• ✔️ Full-Day Camps (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM): $360 per week Full-Day Camps
• ✔️ Half-Day Camps (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM OR 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM): Prices range from $120 to $200 Half-Day Camps

🔹  How do I register for a camp? enroll sign up?

You can register for camps directly on our Summer Camps Page. Each camp has a registration link for both register one or multiple student artists where you can check availability and sign up.

🔹  What is the cost of the camps? Price?

Our camp prices vary based on duration, materials, and the type of instruction provided. Here’s a breakdown:

• 🎨 Half-Day Camps: $195 - $200 per week
• 🏺 Full-Day Camps: $335-360 per week
• ⚡ Special  Workshops: Prices vary ($120 - $180)

🔹 What is the policy on sick days?

We understand that unexpected situations arise.Each camp follows a structured curriculum, and materials are prepared in advance for all registered students. If your child is sick, please notify us as soon as possible if we can fill their spot with waitlisted students, if any. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds or make-up days for missed sessions due to illness unless we can  fill their spot with waitlisted participants.

🔹 Can my child attend only part of the camp? What is the Policy on that?

Our camps are designed as full sessions, whether they are full-day, half-day, or special workshops. When you register, you are reserving a spot for the entire camp duration, so we do not offer prorated pricing for partial attendance.

🔹 Can I get a refund for days my child does not attend? What is the Policy on that?

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds or partial credits for missed camp days. Once you book a camp, the spot is reserved specifically for your child, and we cannot accommodate refunds for unattended sessions.

🔹 What is your cancellation policy?

Full Refund (minus a 3% processing fee) is available if canceled within 24 hours of booking and at least a month before the camp starts. No refunds are given for cancellations made less than a month before the camp starts, unless a replacement can be found from the waitlist.

🔹 Q: What does it mean when a  camp is waitlisted?

When a camp is waitlisted, it means that all available spots are currently filled. We notify everyone on the waitlist about availability as soon as a spot opens up, and the first person to respond will be offered the spot. This process ensures that the spot is filled quickly and efficiently, as we may not have enough time to go through the waitlist individually and enables  to provide an opportunity to everyone. By registering and getting on the waitlist, you’ll receive an automatic email notification as soon as a spot becomes available

🔹 Q: I see some of your camps waitlisted? Do I need to pay to be on the waitlist?

Yes, some of our  camps may be waitlisted due to high demand. You do not need to pay to be on the waitlist. Simply register for the camp and you'll be automatically added to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, we will notify you as soon as possible, and you’ll have the first opportunity to join the camp if you decide to do that.

🔹 Can I transfer my child's spot to another camper if they cannot attend some days? What is the Policy on that?

No, camp registrations are non-transferable once the session begins. Our camps have a structured flow and are designed for consistent participation by the enrolled student.

🔹 Can I switch to a different camp after registering?  What is the Policy on that?

Switching is allowed under certain conditions:

• ✔️ You can switch between camps run by the same instructor if space is available.
• ✔️ Switching across different instructors’ camps is subject to both instructors' approval and compatibility of the camp format.

🔹 What happens if my child needs to leave early or arrive late?  What is the Policy on that?

If your child needs to arrive late or leave early, please inform the instructor in advance. However, we do not adjust pricing based on attendance, and missed content cannot be rescheduled.

🔹 Are these art mediums suitable for  everyone?

Yes! Our camps are designed to accommodate both beginners and those with more experience. Each camp is taught by professional artists who provide personalized instruction and guidance to help students grow their skills, no matter their starting point.

🔹 Where are the camps held?

All camps take place at McKinney Art House, located at 502 N. Kentucky St, McKinney, TX. We have camps running in different studios withing the Main entrance and one in the annex large studio accessible to the left of Art house on concrete drive

🔹 What should my child bring to camp? Do camps include art supplies?

Yes! 🎨 All materials and supplies are included in the camp fee, but we recommend your child bring:

• ✔️ A water bottle
• ✔️ A nut-free snack and lunch (for full-day campers)
• ✔️ Comfortable clothing that can handle a little mess!

🔹 Can parents stay and watch during camp?  What is the Policy on that?

We encourage a drop-off and pick-up system to allow kids to focus on their art. If you have concerns or special requests, feel free to discuss them with the instructor.
