INTUITIVE Woodblock Monotype Workshop
February 18th 10:00am:-4:00pm at my studio 2nd floor at the Art House of McKinney. Loosen up. Be open to possibilities and let the image develop before your eyes with successive runs through the press and hand printing. We will be using stencils and woodcuts, Playing with color and altering transparency of ink with additives. We will work with highly pigmented lithography inks. Clean up with veggie oil and simple green. Each student will be issued two woodblocks to manipulate during class and a sheet of beautiful Japanese paper. Additional sheets will be available for purchase at $7 a sheet. Please bring carving tools. Paper Arts in Dallas is a wonderful source of tools. You know you will want to do more when you go home. I will have sets available for your use as well.

Monthly Arts and Crafts Weekend Workshop
Date: February 18 – 19
Saturday: 2:30pm–7:00pm and Sunday: 10:00am–6:00pm
Cost: Cost - $15/per craft with all materials included
Age: Kids of all ages.
Drop in and choose from several options including creating decorating frames, boxes and bird houses; creating and painting masks; building animals and structures out of clay; painting on canvas.

Private Lessons - Pottery

In 2000 Laura was introduced to throwing clay on a wheel and she immediately knew this was something she had to have in her life. Since then Laura has worked with several studio potters. She is always eager to learn more about advanced techniques in working with clay and firing. Her skills and style continue to evolve as she creates unique pieces of pottery. Laura's passion truly comes out when she is able to share this gift with others, giving them an opportunity to play with their creative side and connect to something deeper within.
