Painting  Buildings in Watercolor 

Michael Borne SWS

 

A three-hour, one-day-only workshop on painting buildings in watercolor for intermediate level painters

 

Location:    Historic McKinney Art House

                    502 N. Kentucky, north of the McKinney Library,
                    McKinney, Texas

Date:           Saturday, August 23 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm - NEW! (limited to 10)

Tuition:      $50 (supplies not included) payable  by August 16, 2008

Emphasis will be on learning techniques for simple building shapes, with an emphasis on design composition.

Class size is limited to 10 students.  Adults & teens with previous watercolor experience  are invited.

It's All About the Finishing I - CANCELLED

Not enough students.

Learn finishing techniques that add color and texture that you apply to clay before it’s been fired. Friday evening we will start by making the items out of clay that will then be worked on the following day—Saturday.  We will work with block outs, stamps, carving tools, varnish, and more. Please bring:   any small to medium stencils that you like, scissors, craft knife if you have one, a few favorite paint brushes that can get clay slip on them—medium, small and fine line.

And teachers can earn 8 hours towards their continuing education requirements.

Minimum registration of 2 student by July 9th or class will be cancelled!

Dates/Time:     Friday, July 11th - 6 to 8 pm
                           Saturday, July 12th - 9 am to 3 pm
          Ages:      High School Ages, Adults & Teachers
           Cost:     $75
- Supplies & lunch will be provided

Register by July 1st and get 50% off the 2nd registration -

Fired simple pieces will be provided.  Please bring:   any small to medium stencils that you like, scissors, craft knife if you have one, a few favorite paint brushes that can get glaze on them—medium, small and fine line.

           Time:     10 am to 2 pm
          Ages:      High School Ages, Adults & Teachers
           Cost:     $75
