Sona Knox
Sona Knox is the current owner of The McKinney Art House. She, her husband Jim, and dog Rocket, opened the McKinney Art House in Jan 2005. Ms Knox is a Painter and a Potter. Rocket

Alana Balch
Alana Balch studied art education at UNC in Colorado. She has taught in Colorado, Washington, and Texas. She currently teaches art at Walker Elementary in McKinney, and has taught summer camps at the McKinney Art House since 2004. . Email Alana at alanabalch@gmail.com

Laura Canfield
In 2000 Laura was introduced to throwing clay on a wheel in Greensboro, NC and she immediately knew this was something she had to have in her life. Since then Laura has worked with several private studio potters. She is always eager to learn more about advanced techniques in working with clay and firing. Her skills and style continue to evolve as she creates unique pieces of pottery. Laura's passion truly comes out when she is able to share this gift with others, giving them an opportunity to play with their creative side and connect to something deeper within. Magda Dia
Magda Dia runs special events such as birthday parties and “Parent’s Night Out” and teaches both weekly classes and summer camp. Magda loves helping children find their artistic voice and gain mastery in their creations. While not formally trained as an artist, she’s found herself working with kids and crafts for at least a dozen years, and finds it extremely fulfilling. Lynne Hubner
Lynne Hubner received her MFA in Printmaking from the University of North Texas. She is an active lecturer, workshop presenter, and member of the Women Printmakers of Austin and the Baren Forum an organization of International relief printmakers. Her work is exhibited internationally and may be found in numerous university and private collections. She is represented by Orisons Gallery in McKinney. Annie Royer
Annie Royer has taught art privately for over 20 years, and at the Art House since its opening. She received her BFA from Austin College, and holds Masters Degrees from Yale in Religion and the Visual Arts, East Asian Studies, and History of Art. April Smith
April Smith has volunteered at the Mckinney Art House for about 2 years and started teaching lessons and hosting pottery themed birthday party's in the summer of 2009. She is currently enrolled in college and studying for a degree in art.
