Hi all you artists ready for summer fun! We have summer camps for the follow dates...NOTE: some dates will have more than one class listed so be sure to scroll down. Select the one you want, register and get ready for fun at the Art House.
June 7 - 11Alternative Mixed Media Camp - camp enrollment limited A fun and diverse camp for students who enjoy creating with new and unusual materials. Some of the projects will be bottle cap charms (along with a project to showcase the charms), polymer clay creations, decorating objects with 3D textures and a tie dye lesson without dye! Kids will get lots of individual attention as they make projects designed to teach them the basics and develop their creativity. We will learn basic throwing techniques, hand building, and how to use the slab roller. Time:

Summer Classical Art
for Kids - Session I Designed for young children, this unique curriculum introduces a student to the basic elements of color and composition, 2D and 3-D, through a variety of media, including paint (tempera), paper collage (inspired by Matisse), clay, and block printing. Color mixing and composition are taught through games and hands on experience. Masterpieces of art are introduced with action games that stimulate memory response. The perfect follow-up is “Classical Art for Kids” taught during the fall/spring sessions at the McKinney Art House. Individualized instruction and advancement increases as children continue through multiple sessions. In other words, if they love art, don’t stop studying it! Early registration is encouraged, as class sizes are very limited. Time:
