Classical Art for Kids -
class size limited to 6
Designed for young children, this unique curriculum takes as student
through the basic elements of color and composition, 2D and 3-D, through a
variety of media, including paint (tempera and acrylic), paper collage
(inspired by Matisse), clay, and block printing. Masterpieces of art are
taught with action games that stimulate memory response. As a student
continues, month by month, increasingly individualized instruction will
result in advancement to projects (including acrylic on canvas) that will
classically train young hands and minds.

Thursday Classes
Drawing: Beyond the Stick Figure
This is a basic drawing class designed to introduce
new students to the skills required to accurately render what they see. It
is also an opportunity for the more advanced artist to gain some visual and
creative practice in drawing that will enhance any artistic endeavors.
The class objective is to provide the "tools" necessary to draw
with confidence and to develop within the student the ability to see the
world the way artists' see. From there, assignments lead the student to
express their own individual creativity.
